COVID-19 Protocol

While we hope that everyone arrives healthy and without incident, we know many have traversed long distances in confined spaces and life can be unpredictable. If you find yourself feeling ill (or having tested positive for COVID-19), please opt to self-quarantine and alert a member of the organizing committee so we may assist with any necessary arrangements. We encourage you to social distance. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the welcome table.

Air Travel

The major international airport is Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). It’s approximately a 40-minute drive to HsinChu.

Ground Transportation from Taoyuan Airport to HsinChu

Taoyuan Airport is located about 60 kilometers north from HsinChu. There are many options to reach Hsinchu from the airport:
Ri Hao Bus:
Ri Hao Bus has direct access from Taoyuan Airport to HsinChu, the nearest stop to the venue is NYCU stop (陽明交大光復路). Check the bus route and time table

HSR:
Taiwan High Speed Rail offers fastest connection between Taoyuan and Hsinchu. From the airport, take metro to HSR Taoyuan station, then ride a south bounde train to HSR HsinChu Station. From HSR HsinChu station, get a taxi/uber to the venue. The time required to the venue is varied, can be from 15 minutes to 60+ minutes, depends on the time you arrive at HSR HsinChu station. TAXI:
Taxi service is available, the fare is somewhat acceptable, the average fare for trips to HsinChu is around NT1700 (US52).

Public Transit: Consider getting an EasyCard, which can be used on buses, trains, and even in convenience stores.

Electricity in Taiwan

Plugs type A and type B are used in Taiwan. It is therefore advised to purchase a plug adapter beforehand. The voltage used throughout Taiwan is uniformly 110 volts AC. The frequency of electric current is 60 Hz.
